First Difference Between Varchar And Varchar2:

If you are given varchar as data type, then Varchar can store up to 2000 bytes of characters.
If you are given varchar2 as data type, then Varchar2 can store up to 4000 bytes of characters.

So here the main difference Between Varchar And Varchar2 is storage.

Second Difference Between Varchar And Varchar2:

If you are given varchar as data type, then varchar utilize spaces for Null Values.
If you are given varchar2 as data type, then it will not take any space.

So here the main difference Between Varchar And Varchar2 space.

Third Difference Between Varchar And Varchar2:

For example if you are given data type as varchar(5) and you enter only 3 values then it utilize all 5 values. In this 3 for values and 2 for Null values (Because 2 values remain as space)

For example if you are given data type as varchar2 (5) and you enter only 3 values then it utilize only 3 values. Because in this case spaces are not considered.


Fourth Difference Between Varchar And Varchar2:

Varchar is a fixed length character data (size), where as varchar2 is variable length character data (size)
